Looks like LivingroomCam is down for the count. The old Pentium III that kept it running has bit the dust. Give me a bit to get a new system in place.

We’ve had a few power outages here. This morning the power was out for about 5 hours. That means the tree was not lit and the pictures were not updating. But, PGE came through and we’re back!! There is still the problem of dealing with the foot of snow is a town that doesn’t know [...]

Halloween is behind us for another year. With the kids off at college, we handed out treats without the high energy children in the house creates. The cam also had a short hiccup which caused the pictures to time out. Fixed now. Time to enjoy the lull between Halloween decorations and Christmas decorations.

One of the camera’s time would drift so the images would be current but the time stamps at the top would be many minutes apart. I hope I have that fixed now with some references to ntp servers. Now I need to go and put up some Halloween decorations.

I got around to adjusting the image times to daylight savings time. The images are also now updated every 10 seconds and the 24 hour link works again. Just a few minor tweeks.

Looks like a mis-configuration of the house firewall caused the light controls to stop working. Things have been fixed.

It’s a new year and I’m getting computing stuff situated now that Christmas is past. The light control stuff will be broken for a few days while DNS names change. It will be working soon.

Sorry there have been times that the pictures haven’t been updating. I will keep an eye on it.

I’m moving LivingroomCam to another host so, for the moment, some things are broken. Like comments and the light control. Give me a few days and I’ll have everything working again.
